It was a very cold day but the birds looked wonderful.
The biggest thankyou goes to the EXHIBITORS for supporting our Show

The Club is grateful for our commercial sponsors who support our Show with feed as prizes and urge members to patronise them. Their support is vital.
The day was only possible as a result of hard work by JODIE TURNER and her extended family and ANDREW PARRY, Chief Steward
JODIE received the prestigious 2008 President's Trophy
With good coverage in the local paper the week before we had lots of general public through the shed. This caused problems for the Judges.
Wayne Galli (Softfeather Large) and Robert Hunt (Softfeather Bantam) judged back to back under difficult conditions stewarded by Evelyn, Judy and Josh.
Brian Tiyce (Hardfeather) assisted by Ruari and Luke.
Michael Nelson (Waterfowl) assisted by Courtney and Josh
first time Exhibitor Jan Forbes won a banner for her Miss Ross
MAY ALL EXHIBITORS HATCH NEXT YEAR'S WINNERS SOON

DAPTO/NOWRA INTERCLUB SHOW held on 20th April was won by Dapto who overwhelmed the host Club who had very few members available to show. What with virus outbreaks, pop concerts and sales in Wagga Wagga we were swamped by Dapto entries. It was a good day to chat with fellow breeders and Tim Beard's informative walk/talk through the Waterfowl section was a highlight.
Novice Judges picked for the day were:
Andrew assisted by Danny for Waterfowl
Aimee for Softfeather Large
Garry handling Hardfeather
Mary judged Softfeather Bantam with Show Secretary Sue
Catering was deliciously prepared by Jodie, Courtney and Hog (on our rejuvenated historical BBQ)

NOWRA AG. SHOW in February was a great day with 33 exhibitors and over 200 birds. There was drizzly rain so it was not hot and uncomfortable as is usual.
We had excellent Judges in Ruari Carolin (Softfeather) and Ron Hewitt (Hardfeather, Waterfowl and Juniors)
For the first time we had classes for Heaviest Fowl, Waterfowl and Turkey organised by Andrew Parry and Dennis Stannard. We did plan to have the weigh-in on the back of a ute in centre ring but the rain put a stop to that. You can see that very high tech equipment was used during judging the two Waterfowl entries and the six Fowl entries. There was only one very large Turkey and this was left on the back of the truck and declared the winner.
Entrants in the Fowl class included Tiny, Albury (Reserve Champion at Orpington National Show at Albury), Roast (an Australorp accidentally bred by a Rhode Island breeder), Wazza (who wazza a good chicken who made an ugly adult and does not have much of a future) and Blacky the only hen who will go on to breed.
Andrew Parry was a clear winner with his big black Australorp but around the scales during the weigh-in there were mutterings about checking his fishing box to see how many sinkers were missing. To avoid problems next year - does any member have a metal detector they can lend?

Kirah Vukas' very quiet Silkie was very popular with visitors.
Jack Bethe was on hand to assist with the Hardfeather judging.
